Securitisation & self execution

Options
Morning
I would just like to clarify 2 points on our 5yr fixed with hsbc:
They require a signature agreeing to securitisation. Any negatives with this?
I'm self executing our mortgage so not taking their advice on suitability and not benefitting from certain fsca protection as a result. It is a basic mortgage but any advice would be appreciated.

That just means they can package up your mortgage and sell it on to other investors if HSBC so chose. It is a standard requirement in a lot of mortgages. It shouldn't impact you at all as your T&Cs can't change as a result of any securitisation.
  • Thanks Tricky
Thought it was something like that but had to check.
Anyone any views on self execution in regards a re mortgage. As far as I see it the 5yr fix we are going onto is a straight forward loan that we can afford. Are there any negatives with self execution?

There's no grounds for complaint. The decision is entirely yours.
