5% Help To Buy Ending end of 2016, whats the latest you can apply?

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to some info regarding the Help to Buy scheme which ends 2016, I have had a look on the website and it doesnt mention if there is a cut off. What is the latest you can apply? or is it the date that you complete?
Its important as my probation period will be ending close to the end of 2016 so I need to know if I am going to miss this or if its basically as soon as I put my mortgage application in?
Any info on this would be appreciated.
