Aldi Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker

I bought a stainless steel pressure cooker from Aldi a couple of years ago but never tried it out until today, when I had a technically inclined friend staying with me and we needed to cooker a large piece of pork.
He is concerned that part of the regulator is missing. There is a brown plastic bit and a couple of metal bits, but it seems that part of the plastic has broken off and naturally we don't want to use it if it is dodgy as it would be very dangerous.
I am just wondering if any of you peeps have one and could look at the part and describe it to me please? I can't find the receipt and think it would no longer be covered by Aldi, but it is absolutely new and was taken out of the box this morning and I don't want to waste £30 if this is how the regulator is designed. The manual of course is useless.

The official site for all spares is through a company web site with the name of
schnellkochtopf24 in Germany.
I know the site is in German but there is a tab to change it to English.
All spares for this cooker are there0
