I've just taken out a contract with EE (through mobiles.co.uk) and within a week of activating the SIM, I've had over a dozen calls from 020 8185 0552 which, when I checked online, belongs to an outfit called New Day. Looking at their website, they seem to be flogging credit cards or similar (although as their latest 'news' appears to date from May last year, nothing exactly New about the New Day!).
Absolutely nobody has my new number and I've not yet made any calls/sent any texts, which makes me wonder how they obtained my number. The chances of it being randomly generated/dialled aren't exactly high...
Anyone had a similar experience, please?
