Hi

I am looking some advice. My partner and I completed a Debt Arrangement Scheme in December 2014 and we are looking to find out our options in terms of mortgage availability now that we are expecting our first child. However, as a result of the DAS we both have 2 or 3 satisfied defaults each on our credit files from 2011/2012.

We require a mortgage for around £200,000. We currently have £10,000 in savings and should make at least another £10,000 from the sale of our flat based on recent sales. We have no outstanding debt apart from a small Vanquis card which is paid in full every month and we have the usual utility bills/mobile phone/virgin contracts. We have a combined salary of £74K per annum.

I have no idea where to begin in terms of who to contact and would ideally like recommendations for a local company/broker who may be able to advise.

Many thanks

    Hello

Us brokers are not allowed to recommend any other brokers on here, and I personally do not know of any in Scotland but a lot of brokers work over the phone now anyhow. A couple of good starting points for your search for someone reputable could be

Vouched for - advisers are rated by clients on here https://www.vouchedfor.co.uk

or http://www.cherryfind.co.uk/search - this is a forum mainly used by brokers but also has a broker find function.
