Looking for £25k

We are having trouble trying to borrow £25k either by mortgage or a loan. We own our property and do not owe any monies. My wife works part-time, and I am a LGV Driver doing agency work at the moment (this appears to be the main problem). Until I have a regular permanent position it seems impossible to go forwards.
Can anyone offer any advice please ?
Thank You

Hello,
No we do not. Value is circa £230k.
Thanks0 -
If you own your property and as long as you have been doing agency work for more than 12 months you would fit criteria for a few lenders. Have you applied to anyone to borrow?I am a Mortgage & Protection Broker

I have only been doing agency work since Dec 2015. I have been working in sales for 29 years, and fancied a career change. It appears no-one will lend us the required amount unless I have a permanent contract in situ.
We own our own property, and have a decent pension. We are not looking for a huge amount.0 -
If you don't need it all at once and can pay it off fairly quickly 0% credit cards can work0
