Reclaiming Mortgage Exit Fees

Hi

Reclaiming my mortgage exit fees couldnt have been easier 5 mins on the phone to Natwest and i'm £140 better off, i'm amazed :-)

I can't believe it was so easy i just followed Martins advice as listed on the gmtv website (which is where i orginally heard i could claim).

I didnt really understand it all but there really was nothing to worry about, i just called them and said "i'd like to reclaim my mortgage exit fees please" they asked me for my acct no.which i didnt have but they found my details through my address. They then advised i was enititled to a £140.00 refund.

I thought i'd take it a step further and ask about interest on the amount but they said they don't normally pay out but i could write in. I havent decided whether its worth trying to claim the interest yet but would love to here from anyone who has been successful claiming the interest from Natwest.

If you are thinking about claiming fees back and havent done it yet just pick up the phone NOW! for the price of 1 phone call you could be 100+ pound better off.

Regards

A very very happy Mikipops

I had the same result, with a cheque from Natwest on the way.

Not fussed about interest on this one, but you may aswell go for it, if thats what they said.
