  • Thanks guys, that's what I'll do ... and I'll give Egg a call too. Thanks in particular to Kev for the great maths, mine is dreadful which is probably what got me into this mess in the first place.

I feel like I'm finally starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel!

And another vote for clearing Storecard 2, then chucking the rest at Egg and putting the Oct/Nov money onto Egg as well. You'll still get the satisfaction of clearing a card completely now, plus if you want to you can push the monthly payment you would have been paying to Storecards 1 & 2 at Egg as well for the next couple of months (another £50 per month, plus the £33 which Egg normally gets, will go a fair way to reducing it down). By the time you make the £200 payment, you will probably be almost clear on that card as well (if not completely clear...sorry, I haven't done the exact maths either!:o :p).

Well done on making the decision to put the £1k towards clearing the debt and not just going out on a massive shopping spree!! ;)

Looks like a few people agreed with me, i'm so pleased!! I so often don't even understand the mechanics of these things!

Storecard 2 and egg... cheerio:hello: methinks!

If only i could get my own finances so orderly in my mind!!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

    Highest interest first cherub.

So store cards first and then throw the rest at Egg - I am as much a sucker for the psychological boost of washing my hands of a debt as the next girl, but you know it makes more sense this way.

(The £50 a month this will free up should go to Egg really, but you could snaffle a little bit of it to make life easier.)

When you get your rebate, chuck that at Egg too and things will be looking much much brighter!

Also, can you ask Egg for a better rate? (It's got to be worth asking!)
You'll be straight in no time at this rate! :T

    Love Jacks xxx :D
