A lovely anniversary gift but can I make it cheap?

Hiya,

I don't post often on this forum but I could really do with your help!!!

My MIL and FIL's wedding anniversary is coming up soon and I'm stuck for ideas :rolleyes:

Or has anyone else brought anything really special for an anniversary?

I don't know about spraying it gold but could you maybe scan a photo from their wedding and print that onto a CD label (if you don't have any - rather than buy a full packet - I can send you a couple if you want) and then maybe have the song that was No.1 the day they got married burned onto the CD?

This website will tell you what was No.1 (as long as it was after 1950!!!)

I suppose you could also print your message onto some gold/silver card and mount that underneath and maybe a present day photo under that?

Another wee suggestion could be (depending how many years they have been married) a CD/CDs with the songs that were No.1 on the day they got married and each anniversary since.

You could possibly then have two or three CDs with a photo scanned and printed onto each, perhaps showing them when they first got married, second one a photo of them after say 10/15 years together and if there is a third one a present day photo.

Thanks hun, some excellent ideas there!!!

They've been married for 6 years so neither here nor there which makes it all the more difficult!!!

Unfortunately I wasn't on the scene when they got married so no pics of them- think they have them on cd but where is anyone's guess!!!

I know that they had the lighthouse family as 'their' song and that they got married in malta but thats it :rolleyes:

According to the link you just gave me "Afroman because I got high" was number 1 at the time :eek: PMSL I think its a great idea but I don't think it would quite take pride of place in the living room :rotfl:

Ps Probably a good time to say that I don't have a scanner or printer would of solved a lot of problems if I did :rolleyes:
