How do you calculate the APR??

As ive been told that mine has been calculated wrong on my loan.I have raised the issue with the provider. I was wondering though how do the providers reach their figures and can i work it out somehow as a guide to myself??

Cheers

Matt

the APR is set by the lender of the loan.

The interest is the only thing that may have been calculated wrongly.

What are the details of your loan?
  • Hi,
i'd be very interested in this as well.
i'm aaware that they are certain charges that can and can't be included in the total amount of credit vs the total charge for credit.
I've seen the calculation algorithm on the oft website, and walked away quickly... scientist I am not!
