Outstanding balance for re-mortgage

    Problem is pledge, is that there are a few variables that can affect the mortgage balance.

    1. Missed payment
    2. Over/extra payments
    3. Day of month you pay (can affect in some circumstances.

    It would be nice if they had a nifty little thing like that, but most lenders won't as if they give you a figure over the phone as a defo figure, and it turns out to be wrong, it can cause customer complaints which lenders will try to avoid.

    Even when I calculate it to the penny, I still say it's an approximate to cover my back. Just the way it is I'm afraid

    I carry out affordability assessments for new and existing customers.
    I update customers during the application when they call, letting them know where things are at.
    I also answer existing mortgage queries.
  • Give the outstanding amount at today's date, and the interest rate and your regular repayments (amount and dates) and we can work it out. So can you with excel or another spreadsheet (PAYT function). This won't take account of any other charges for repaying the mortgage (sealing fees etc).

    My solicitor transferred the excess from my house sale for no charge as I accepted the three-day delay of BACS transfer rather than same day telegraphic transfeer.
