Does partner have to pay if only has child one night a week?

Good afternoon all,
Apparently my partner has been on to CSA, and they informed him that he doesn't have to give me a penny if he only looks after the children (1 & 2 year old boys) for one night a week.
Please could someone advise.
Many thanks in advance!

If he looks after the children 1/7 of the time, he is due to pay 16% of his gross weekly amount (less 1/7 of that amount) to you.0

Can I just clarify something? I presumed you meant your ex-husband. Is that what you meant?0

Yes, we were married 4 years and have now separated - he moved out a month ago.0

3 children is 19% of his gross income but it will be reduced by 1/7th to account for the night he has them. He wouldn't have been onto the CSA as they do not take new cases and haven't for 4 years now.
If you google 'CMS Calc' and you know his gross pay, you can get an indication of how much he should be giving you each month.0 -

Sorry, yes was just checking.
Your new partner, and no judgment here but the wisdom of moving someone in who you have been with for just 1 month when you have two young children is worth mentioning, doesn't need to pay anything.
Your ex husband pays on the above scale.0 -

If the non-resident parent is on income related benefits such as JSA, they may not have to pay anything in maintenance if they have the children for one night a week. If, however, they are in work, details from above posters are correct.0
