Messed up my watch plastic screen can I fix?

I had one before what happened was I normally clean watch straps with cheap aftershave to kill the germs (does anyone know a better way so I stop breaking them!) but the last watch I did it to the inside of the watch became "cloudy" as if it dried out the plastic on the inside though watch worked perfect.
Thought it was because it was a cheap watch from Ebay so bought a Casio costing £20 (in case someone asks me how I can afford that on benefits I thought its better than false economy when watches may cost like £5 but last a few months as last Casio lasted like 7 years!) all was fine till I started getting a watch rash I get from the metal so decided to wipe it with a microfibre cloth and after shave (not soaking it just a cloth which is barely damp with aftershave) I noticed almost straight away it showed the same symptoms of cloudy under the plastic.
Is there away to sort this, if not what can I use to clean a watch in future?
Also would you say it to be wrong for me to take it back to shop as its within 30 days saying its faulty since its user damage?

You've put alcohol on plastic and some plastic will melt under it. You could try the toothpaste trick from headlights to see if you can get rid of the clouding, but this is most certainly your fault and not the retailer or manufacturer.

Well I put the aftershave on the metal base not the plastic screen which is strange unless it soaked through but was only a tiny spray if that not a full on one.0

Why not take the strap off completely when cleaning it?
Perhaps the manufacturers could sell you a new clear plastic watch face or possibly you could swap one over from a spares or repairs watch of the same model.0 -

I wanted to clean the metal part more than anything since thats where the problem is coming from as sometimes it lasts a day, sometimes it lasts a week or two but eventually I get a itchy rash under where the metal was, and then it takes a week or more to get rid of the rash by not wearing watch at all only for the process to repeat where it can be a day or 2 weeks for it to come back.
Do you mean take off my arm or remove the physical strap? If so I take it off my arm of course.0 -
I cannot wear a watch because I am not good with metals of any sort on my skin, my DD is the same and her OH bought her a fitbit with a rubber strap and she also gets a rash from it I suggested perhaps cloth between the skin and the strap as the only way i could think she could wear it.as for a cloudy watchface perhaps if you search bootfairs etc you may see some broken watches that you could perhaps cannabilise just for the face or try an independant watchmaker as he may have a 'face' he could fit on for you.I have a local jewlers who has done this in the past for one of my grandsons whose watch face got spoiled by leaving it too near some heat.our local chap had a search in his repair room and found one that fitted and only charged him a quid .0
