Payplan- end of DMP

So I have one final payment to go. (Yay, finally after nearly 9 years )
Payplan don't seem to pay the creditors until the 15th-20th of the month. My payment normally goes out on the 1st of the month.
I get paid tomorrow , so I decided I would take control of the last payment.
I emailed them through the website on Monday, told them I wanted to end my DMP and that I would be taking responsibility for the final payments to my creditors.
I cancelled my direct debit.
And I got a reply today telling me I had an email in my payplanplus inbox, with a link.
So I clicked, and my password has expired. I tried resetting to be informed that there is no email address attached to my account.
In other words the account appears to be closed.
I can't read whatever they have sent me. I can only presume its a goodbye letter.

How is it, that any communication I have had in the past 8 and a half years or so takes a week to get a response, and any actions take about a month.
But my goodbye email gets answered within 2 days, and the bloody account gets closed!!! :rotfl:

I'm not sorry to have finished the relationship. They have seriously annoyed me on occasion, and the turnover of case managers has been astronomical.
But it hasn't all been bad.
My years have taught me to manage my money better, and I am now (or at least I will be shortly) debt free.

If it's over then surely it's over?? Going to phone them now

I'm considering doing this too. My last payment will only be for half the amount I usually pay but payplan are insisting I make the full payment and then wait for them to make the payments and then refund me the difference. I don't really want to do this as I know how long it takes payplan to make payments etc and I don't really see why I should pay out money I don't owe. I've been skint for long enough!

Did you find it easy enough to contact your creditors? I don't think I've even got contact details for some of them as the debts were sold on.
