Homebase 15% off weekends?

Is it true that Homebase no longer have their 15% off weekends?

I want to buy a footstool to match my sofas from there but they are ridiculously expensive so I phoned to ask when their next 15% off weekend was, hoping it would be this bank holiday weekend. The (unhelpful) member of staff said she 'didn't think' they did them any more but didn't really know!

If they are no longer, does anyone know of a code that can be used against furniture please? I have tried searching but the ones I saw don't work.

I wasn't aware that they had stopped them, although I had notice that there hadn't been one for a while as I was holding out too.

I guess its just a common tactic to mix these sort of sales up, else people will always wait out until predictable dates (which is what we have done the past few years no doubt).

Best thing to do is to sign up to their newsletter and await any news

Not sure if this is helpful but I bought a lawnmower from there last weekend and was told that they have recently been taken over by an Australian company who will be making lots of changes.
He said they are more of a builders merchant in Oz and want to be the same here so all the fluffy stuff (his words) will be discontinued soon and there will be different types of offers.
