Halifax Mortgage will it be declined?

Hello,
I wanted to run this past some people with more experience than myself,

Last week my partner and I, got a mortgage promise from Halifax for £324K with a Deposit of 49%. LTV 51%

We can make the payments and it's affordable but I'm worried about the credit check once the application is finalised this week. My partner has good credit file on Experian but my credit score on Experian is bad due to some bad mistakes 6 years ago. The last 4-5 years I have never missed a payment but it hasn't helped repair the credit score from the defaulted loans. I have no CCJs.

My question is with the above information do you think we will be accepted for the mortgage, the Halifax Mortgage Adviser seems to think it won't be a problem as the soft credit check on the mortgage promise came back as good, but worried they will do the full credit check and it will show my old defaults and low credit score.

Thanks
