NRAM transfer of proprietorship

I currently have a joint mortgage with my ex partner and his name's registered on the title to my house.
Does anyone know whether Northern Rock are likely to consent to me having his name taken off the title to the house at the Land Registry? My other lender has agreed to it but I know how awkward NRAM can be, seeing as they told me that I'd have to do 50 hours of overtime a month for them to consider me as a sole mortgagee to get his name off.

Are you remortgaging to a new lender. It's not clear from your post. As you use the term "other lender".0

I'm not sure if I can remortgage, with only a fair credit rating.
I have two mortgages, one of which finishes in August next year - this lender will agree to take my ex's name off the title to my property.
It's NRAM I'm worried about.
My main concern is that he's got debts of his own that he's not paying and I don't want orders attaching to the house.0 -
It's unlikely you have two mortgages, one may be a secured loan.
Can you give details of the amounts owing, your income etc?Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -

Removing his name now even it were possible. Would fall foul of the Insolvency Act. As there is legal protection for creditors from assets being "hidden" away. Being party to the act would do you harm as well.0
