Male grey hair - how to reduce?

Can anyone recommend a way of reducing the appearance of grey hair without going for a full dye as such?
I started going grey in my early twenties and used to dye it using Just For Men but I realised it looked fake and slightly absurd so stopped.
Now in my forties, I'm going quite grey which is contrasting with my remaining dark brown colour - pepper and salt, I suppose.
Would appreciate any comments/advice!

I used to visit a Chinese herbalist and standing above her and covertly inspecting her hair she had very few grey hairs and she was a woman I would guess of at least late 40's and possibly older. There are some reputed Chinese herbs for restoring hair colour such as He Shou Wu/Ho Shou Wu/FoTi. However seeing a herbalist would be better for a more effective combination.0

I would look out for the ladies hair dyes, they tend to look a bit more natural. Not sure why hair dyes are separated by gender, to be honest, but the mens ones can make you look a bit like George Osbourne :eek:sealed pot challenge 9 #0040

I've heard that hairdressers will colour the hair in various different tones so that some of the grey is still there, but everything blends in well. It made me think of George Clooney. If your local places don't do this, you could go to one of the more expensive, top end hairdressers and ask. Apparently, they're used to doing this. It will need to be repeated, depending on when you think it necessary. I saw some photos in a magazine once and the results looked great.
Alternatively, it would be cheaper to just try other brands of hair dye, or a different colour.
There's nothing wrong with just leaving it grey either.0 -
I think if its hereditary, it won't reduce. The best is to really dye your hair.0

Mine reduced naturally, unfortunately by falling out!0

Just tweeze some of them out, this will reduce them temporarily.0

Get yourself a set of clippers and go no longer than a No2 - That way people hardly notice the grey hairs.0

I'm at my twenties and also have much grey hair, I believe it was caused by heredity, so I just pull it and let it grow naturally.0
