1998 Barclays Statement: Can anyone help me?

Options
Hi.
My parents had an endowment policy (three separate) with Barclays from the early nineties. One of my parents' statements is below. I am having trouble working out what each of the direct debits are, and my parents aren't sure.
Please can I ask if anybody can help offer any thoughts?
Thank you in advance.

Barclays life would be life assurance, income protection, critical illness cover and pensions

Prudential could be any of the above plus home insurance.

Barlcays Insurance would be a general insurance policy. Home insurance, motor or MPPI/ASU typically.

It is not possible to tell the product from the entry.

Thank you for that. I think three of them must be the three separate Endowment policy payments, would that make sense?

    Thank you for this.

It is a logical assumption. You know there were three of them and there are three payments.

Would there have been any charges taken from the endowment policies whilst they were running?

Yes there would be charges in the sense that no company provides Investment Products free of charge. What charges are you concerned about.

I would like to find out what the charges were. I have all the statements but do you think it is possible to see a breakdown of these charges?

Do you mean bank statements or statements for the endowment policies? Your parents would have received full policy particulars when they took out the endowments detailing all the charges, do you still have the policy documentation? Failing that you could just ask Barclays - though the request would have to be authorised by your parents.

It might be helpful if you explained what potential outcome you have in mind re ascertaining the charges.

Pretty obvious he wants to somehow "claim" these back. I don't know how though...
