Help to buy ISA HELP

Hello I'm really confused over the HTB isa. I've seen several posts stating that you can't use the bonus (25%) towards your deposit.

So what can you use it for?

The below has been taken from the official rules.

Bonus funds remain the property of HM Treasury until applied to the purchase
of an eligible property. Until the Bonus is used for a property purchase, it must
be held in the Conveyancer Client Account. The Bonus cannot be used for a
deposit.
It must contribute towards the funds consolidated at the completion of
the property transaction.

Please help really confused...

Thank you

    Hi guys,

My solicitor failed to mention that he would need the details of my help to buy ISA and there is a bit of confusion. The help to buy ISA number... what is it?! My solicitor has never claim the bonus before so he doesnt know and the bank dont seem to know either. Any help would be great.

I can't post the link but if you google 'help to buy isa conveyancer guidelines' there is a .pdf link that may help you and your solicitor, or go to the site helptobuyisaadmin.org.uk

edit: Worth noting the maximum they can charge you is £50 plus VAT (per HTB ISA).

I didn't know what the H2B ISA number is either. I used the account number and added the sort code.
