Last night I made him like a chocolate pizza thing. I melted chocolate and put it in a quiche dish to set. On top I added m&ms, snickers and kit kats (all lidl versions). He was over the moon with it this morning and out of everything he got he was more pleased with that. A few months ago we were in a shop and noticed them but they were £18+!!

And oh my gosh, I absolutely love this idea! It's my daughters birthday soon so I will be stealing this idea from you0 -
Thank you money mission. We have applied for the mortgage help but you don't get anything for the first 11 or 13 weeks I can't remember. We have to contact them again on 5th of May and that will be a great help.
It's a bit of a boring day here today. Cinema is cancelled as my youngest is at a party I forgot about. I spent the morning at the side of a football pitch and I'm now cold to my bones. I'm just eating lunch and then whilst they watch the sport I am going to have a hot bath and put clean pyjamas on.
I popped in to tesco to grab some cheese and milk. Whilst I was in there I was looking in the frozen section and they had turkeys reduced. I got an extra extra large turkey which should feed 20+ people for £11. I have popped it in the freezer and am writing a list of meals to make with it. This will be a huge saving for us this month as I will get so many meals out of it. I have a busy week this week but I think I may do a roast with it next Sunday and then spend the Monday making meals and freezing them. Any ideas of what to make?£370/£300 April challenge :T:T0 -
Ahh I haven't updated since Saturday!
It's been busy busy here. Dh has heard from his claim he has put in for his war pension. We have more questions to answer but at least something is happening. I sold £330 worth of stuff which is amazing. I have lots more to sell as I'm decluttering but I am off to a fabulous start!
We have eaten all of meals at home and I have been staying out of the shops. I do have to spend £75 today towards a school trip but it's all been budgeted for as I knew it was coming. I'm meeting a friend tomorrow who I usually meet in Costa but she has asked me to help her with a craft so I am going to her house and she is providing coffee and cake so that's a £10+ saving and will be a lot more enjoyable.
One of the best things to happen was that I got my maths wrong lol. I was convinced we owed £6700 on husbands car but we got the statement through and it's actually £4200. I know a debt is still a debt but it felt great to know we were £2k down to what we thought. I even rang the credit company to check and the £4200 is correct. I am extremely motivated at the moment to get all of this sorted.£370/£300 April challenge :T:T0 -

Wow, that is an amazing bargain for the turkey.
Ideas could be
Turkey curry
Turkey (and bacon if you have any) in a creamy white wine sauce
Turkey mac and cheese
Turkey salad or wraps
Turkey sandwiches or toasted sandwiches
Pasta bake with turkey and broccoli
They're a few I can think of because we sometimes have them at home. We found the mac & cheese recipe online and the white wine sauce recipe is one that my OH's mum used to make. The pasta bake admittedly is just a Homepride jar which we buy and just throw in whatever ingredients we want with the pasta. Sometimes we just have the pasta, other times we have chicken, it really depends what we've got in the house and what needs using up0 -
Hope alls going well?2025 in 2025- 2027/2025
