2 offers: confused

Options
hi all

i've put in offers on two houses recently and BOTH have came back as accepted now. i am starting to gravitate to one of them now but i'm a little worried at how to deal with things.

as i have put in the offer, is there any LEGAL compulsion to continue with anything (i haven't exchanged contracts but have had an offer accepted verbally from the seller, nor have i even got further than an agreement in principle from my lender). is it just a case of telling the estate agent that i don't want to continue with the purchase and major apologies etc?

feeling a bit awkward!

thanks

There's no obligation to proceed. Suggest you withdraw one offer pronto before your reputation spreads.

Don't feel bad - buying a house is a massive decision. Buying and selling always has ups and downs, most people know what can happen and that people pull out. Our buying system in England needs an overhaul if you ask me, I much prefer the Scottish system!

    Good luck
