Lender is requesting P60

Hi all,

I'm in the process of a full mortgage application and the lender has came back requesting my partner's and myself's P60. I have mine but my partner has lost her's along with last March's payslip.

Our missives are due to be signed April 8th so that only gives us 2 weeks! My advisor has said that she will ask the lender if we can use this months payslip but my partner doesn't get that until next week.

I've been a nervous wreck the past few weeks and now this has added another load of stress. Would there be any leeway in terms of the missive deadline?

Thanks in advance

Ask the payroll at your work or maybe speak to the HMRC

I forgot to mention my partner is in a new job as of September last year. Her previous employment was a small company so they never had a HR.

I couldn't say about the missives, but I would question why the advisor put you with a lender that would request something you didn't have.

Did you not discuss what would be required for the application and point out then that the P60 wasn't available?

If the lender didn't request it as standard I would understand, who is the lender?

P60's are issued once and not reprinted.
  • The Feb pay statement should have cumulative figures for the year to date, see if they'll use that as a substitute.

It underlines that it's REALLY important to keep these documents safe. I think you're legally obliged to, anyway, but they do matter with credit applications.

We had to go with Aldermore bank as my partner had a default. It has two years left before it falls off so we decided to go with it and remortgage after the fixed two years.

My mortgage advisor didn't say anything about needing a P60 as I thought bank statements, payslips, savings etc was sufficient. Turns out this isn't the case apparently.

When I get home from work I will completely gut the house to see if I can find my partner's P60.

Aldermore are not a lender I use regularly so I couldn't say if its a standard request or not.

If they were your only option though its a moot point.

Best thing you can do is get searching for the P60 and speak to your solicitors about the missives

I suppose depends on employer/payroll which in this case is would be unobtainable

Worked for organisations where the payslips are online and can be printed ad hoc
