Two Luton vans and an old Sprinter. All parked legally and used most days so unlikely to be uninsured or untaxed.
I find that if a vehicle is parked legally then slowing down to ensure the road is clear works very well.
If I was a NIMBY then maybe I would complain, but I am not so I won't. If he parked them in a way that concerned me then I would knock on his door and explain my concerns.
Do you have 9 Taxis legally parked outside your House? Or some Lutons vans?
If you want me to reply to any other point then actually write a question.

There's nothing petulant about adding text to your posts. Its just easier to respond to specific parts of them this way.
No taxis or vans parked outside my house so no position to defend.0 -

Are you sure you don't resent them for parking vans? Else why mention it?:D
You answered a closed question so no would have been enough. We can however see why you're defending the taxi owner.0 -
Would the OP have a problem if they weren't Taxis?
I don't care one way or the other.
Is it illegal to park nine vehicles outside a residential address?
Is it illegal to run a business from a residential address?
Have you actually seen these vehicles parked and can definitively say that you can't get past with a pushchair?
If the question the OP meant to ask was.
"A neighbour is running a Taxi rental business from home and causing problems for neighbours, what can I do about it?"
Then the advice would be different.
But the OP seems to be trying to pretend that isn't the issue even though she mentions her husbands business doesn't park JCBs outside and has a yard.
But if the vehicles are parked legally then you are unlikely to be able to do anything.
I've answered this question already - Would the OP have a problem if they weren't Taxis? - Yes i would have a problem if they weren't taxis, i don't care what vehicles they are just that they are causing problems as they are parked all over the pavements and I cant see the traffic
If that was the question I'd meant to ask i simply would have just asked it. I'm not trying to pretend anything, you seem to have the wrong end of the stick completely and i've no idea why. :rotfl:
I was just asking for advice before speaking to the owner or the council. As mentioned as soon as i find out where he actually lives i'll speak to him. Why you are trying to insinuate some ulterior motive I've no idea. But thanks to everyone else for all the advice and feedback0 -
I have a similar problem with parked cars down my street all parked right on the corner at both sides and doubled parked, even vans. Yes it is a nuisance as you can't bloody see what is coming in both directions. You pull out and hope for the best.0

Hopefully bigjl has had a wheelchair and pushchair out on the pavement to make sure that his vans aren't causing an obstruction, as he advised OP to.0

You need to speak to the council planning department. It sounds like he is running a business from his home which he needs planning permission for. They will soon knock on his door and ask him about it. Also speak to your local councillor and see what he can do.
You don't need planning, you just need to make the local council aware. Usually not interested unless it is a food business, in which case they will register and inspect. It still requires no planning, no business rates etc.
Only vehicle requiring planning and not being permitted 'kept' on a road long term is an HGV - this is why you see operators license applications in the paper to keep these on land/back of the operators house etc,0
