And here is the real motivation for the thread.

You don't like the fact he is running a business from his home.

I don't see that not liking it is anything to be ashamed about.
I bought a house in a nice quiet residential area and I would also be upset if one of my neighbours started parking 9 company vehicles on the road especially if parking spaces were a bit hard to come by.
If I wanted to live in an area that had businesses operating from the properties, I could probably have done so and saved a bit of money on the purchase price.

bigjl - my husband owns JCB's if he parked them outside our house it would be a problem that's why we discussed it when driving past several times over the last couple of months

No vendetta here, dont even know the guy with the taxi's, just a little concerned about crashing into incoming cars when pulling out of the bottom of my road.... But thanks everyone else for the helpful posts and information

So if these Taxis are not parked there nobody else will park there?

I can't see that to be honest.

I don't think that anyone else would park there to be honest. Ive not seen any other cars around here parked fully on the pavement, everyone else being fairly sensible in their parking.

I think I will try to have a chat with him, I have seen him working on the cars but i#m unsure which house he lives in. I walk my dog past there daily so i'm sure to bump into him at some point

I never said there was anything wrong with concerns as you have stated them.

But the OPnis not saying that, they are specifically saying it is no problem.

That isn't issue, asking for advice is one thing, being disengnenious is something else.

I doubt the person renting out the Taxis is breaking any planning laws, he is simply parking taxed and insured vehicles.

As soon as they pass a law saying you can't park properly taxed and insured vehicles on a public road my opinion will change.

If nobody else will park there then I can't see the problem.

It isn't as though they are massive vehicles like Luton vans with a Tail lift.

Any chance of some images so we can see exactly what the issues are?

But the properly taxed and insured vehicles in question are not getting parked on a public road.
They are mainly getting parked on a public footpath.

And until it has been proven they are parked illegally what is the issue?

I was wondering if he is breaking any laws by doing this.

    Possible offences are contrary to s. 72, Highways Act 1835 and s.148(c) & 149, Highways Act 1980.

    Well, apparently,

It more about not being able to see oncoming traffic when pulling out for me personally.
You seem very keen to defend the owner of these cars. Would you be less defensive if they weren't taxis?. Parking nine vehicles outside any residential property is likely to cause problems.
