There are costs in switching mortgages. With a small amount left to pay (lucky you), these costs probably outweigh the interest you might save. The first thing you should do it to phone or visit your existing lender, tell them you are thinking about switching, and ask them what deal they can offer you.I am a Mortgage adviser
