Teacher Pension Question

Options
A Female Family member who is 64 years old reached state pension age when she was 62 but carried on working as a teacher

She is now looking into retiring from teaching but has been told that after the age of state retirement - 62 - there is a change in how her service is calculated/accrued

Can anyone shed any light on this? What changes once you pass state pension age?

Well, surely the scheme rules and the scheme administrator can provide more accurate and reliable information on the accumulation of benefit than a random internet discussion forum?

How would you know whether you can trust what people here tell you?

The TPS website has a good deal of information, particularly if she registers:

Nothing that I'm aware of with regards to accrual or service. There is a slight modification made to pensions being paid once state retirement age is reached though and is presumably down to GMP.

    Who told her this?

Is she drawing her state pension and her TPS pension already?
