Hi I am a little interested in these sports watches, currently use mapmyfitness app when doing walks, hike, jogs and gym which is linked to bounts it which I then claim the gift cards, can any of the cheaper watches do the same sort of think which would replace me from having to use my phone with the mapmyfitness app running?

I wasn't after it just to see what I had achived it is more of a replacement for mapmyfitness to still manage to upload workouts to bounts it, also I have Seen a watch in Avon on special for about £25?

I have picked up a couple off ebay for about £30. Both old garmin forerunners (a 305 and a 405) both came with heart rate monitors. I am fairly certain that you can get bounts to pick up the info from whichever system you use for tracking. (I don't actually use it)

For me it was the best thing that I ever did, I used to hate running with my phone strapped to my arm. And these allow me to train a bit smarter, and also allow me to follow new routes a bit easier.

A £25 watch from Avon isnt going to do what mapmyfitness can do.

You need a gps watch if you want to track runs properly, ie. distance & route.
Garmin are the big name for them, also TomTom
