Natwest mortgage

Hi all
I submitted a mortgage application with Natwest on Monday. Yesterday I received a letter from the surveyor saying they had been instructed. Does anyone have any idea of current time frames for Natwest at the moment? Also if the surveyor has been instructed does this mean it has gone through underwriting already? We have gone via a broker who told us we would hear something on Friday but we didn't hear anything.
Thanks!

Natwest have recently changed their processes to instruct a valuation striaght away - im not sure if you would have been involved in that or not.
I would speak to your broker tomorrow. Maybe email them, I usually pick up emails over the weekend when I get a spare half hour.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Until you know the date of the valuation, you can't speculate on the remainder of the timescale.
It's the one issue dependent on others.
EG We expect to see an offer issued in ten to fourteen days, based on a valuation being done within three days of the application.
If it takes fourteen days to get the valuation booked, done and back the offer is going to be three weeks to a month.I am a mortgage broker.
