Are you able to take out a buy to let mortgage on a holiday let property? or do these have specific mortgages?
the property would be let on a 1-2 week basis, also if you lived in it for say 2 months over winter when holiday guests wasn't booked up would this affect your mortgage and would you be allowed?
Are the mortgages assessed by personal income or by the potential property let income?
I understand you couldn't get a residential mortgage if you wanted to let it for most of the year (on a holiday basis ideally) or even 6 month residential let?)

You need a BTL product from a lender that accepts holiday lets.

Rental is based on the income expected as a holiday let rather than a normal AST
