Why does everyone think that the only train from London to Gatwick is the Gatwick Express? You can also use the services from St Pancras/Blackfriars/London Bridge, via East Croydon, all of which run regularly and take about two minutes longer. And a shorter tube link too.

The company who runs all London - Gatwick trains lies, see http://www.gatwickexpress.com/en/your-journey/avoid-the-road/ and http://www.gatwickexpress.com/en/about-us/ for various lies. Why does everyone think that the only train from London to Gatwick is the Gatwick Express?../
They want people to pay their ludicrous premium fares, which can easily be (legitimately) avoided.0
