    It's an Easter offer. The veg included are broccoli, swede (assorted sizes, some quite big), 1.5kg white potatoes, sweetheart cabbage, and carrots.
    Asda are doing leeks, parsnips, carrots and green cabbage for 29p so between the two of them you get a very good selection!

    My Morrison's also had onions at 28p for kg.

    I don't know if it was just my branch, but the self service tills didn't recognise the swedes and just shouted "assistance required" !

    they are probably the older machines who only recognise Turnips :)

    Was in Morrison yesterday and saw the title 'Easter Vegetable Offers'.

    I was cheeky mood and the nice guy who was refilling the end isle why they were called 'Easter vegetables', when none of them have any reference to anything Easter.

    He basically thought it was a ploy to sell the vegetables to the public, a bit like sticking the word 'Christmas' the front of anything in December.

    We both had a laugh about it.

    Basically do supermarkets think we are that dumb.
