Text Message from HMRCTax. Unsure if Legit

I've had a text message from HMRCTax stating,
"Dear [name],
Your annual tax rebate application is almost ready. Please click below to complete the application form.
[!!!!!! URL]"
I did actually apply online for tax relief not long before receiving the email so I suspect it's okay. But I'm hesitant in case it's a sophisticated attempt at phishing, or a fraudlent website.
Thanks.

Of course its a scam!
Why would you need to complete another application form if you have already applied to HMRC.0 -
Why would they call themselves HMRCTax when that is not their name?0

From GOV. websiteHMRC phishing emails, texts and tax scams
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will never use texts or emails to:- tell you about a tax rebate or penalty
- ask for personal or payment information

Didn't clock on to that! From GOV. website
Thanks! I had a look at the .gov site and somehow didn't see anything appropriate. I also couldn't find any examples of similar scams.Of course its a scam!

I thought perhaps I'd only partially completed the form or something.
This is quite concerning. Had I received this out of the blue I'd have dismissed it without question, but because I received the text a day or two after applying for a rebate it makes me doubt it's just a coincidental scam attempt, and instead may be something more targetted.
Thanks for the help0 -

Thats what the scammers hope for ! The coincidence. Just like those annoying accident calls that talk about " your " non existant accident. Of course if you had just had an accident then you might think its targetted .....Stuck on the carousel in Disneyland's Fantasyland

Scam.
Always, always, always, no matter who the organisation are, do your own research to find their actual legitimate website and manually sign on by yourself .... never click anything.0 -
I got a scam/ phishing email only last week. The real HMRC have a reporting page on their website and a very long list of names of similar phishing URL's. They set the rebate level at just the right amount( approx £240 -£300 to make you think that you do actually have a rebate owing.
I got a response from HMRC to say they would never inorm you of a rebate by email. Incidentally there is usually a spelling or grammar mistake in the body of the message.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
