Nationwide - Random Audit

Looking for some guidance.
We have been chosen by Nationwide for a Random Audit, we are currently looking to purchase a New Build and the Valuation has been carried out. The clock is ticking and I was wondering does anybody else have any experience in timescales it takes before we get an answer?
Mortgage Broker keeps chasing it up but they keep on stalling and say we will have an answer in 3 days, but that's been said twice. Now I can't get hold of mortgage broker which before he has been really responsive.
The above is making me worried. Originally the MB said that we would be okay on my wages alone as I am employed. My husband is self employed. It's very frustrating.

It won't be quick - nationwide is a mess at the moment - and audits do not communicate with normal processing team (in fact few departments in Nationwide communicate with any other departments in Nationwide at the moment).Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
