interesting weakness with ticket machine

I quite often buy my next morning ticket at the machine as I'm heading home - to avoid the queues. I buy peak tickets as I travel before 9.30am.
Living in a village where the booking office regularly closes for 6 days at a time and having one ticket machine that runs out of tickets after 2 days I find it so hard to get tickets. I also hate running the risk of not having a ticket and finding revenue inspectors at my final station only 1 stop away!
I know on our machine you can but peak and off peak tickets the night before but then in the morning only peak tickets.
I only use the train 2-3 days a week as I get a lift 2-3 days so a season tickets not worth it - but those are so much easier!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
