    Thank you for the correction Greenslide and apologies to others for out of date information. The rules changed approx. 10 years ago and state pension is no longer affected by hospital stay of any length so far as I can determine.

    Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Hung up my suit!
    This also applied to residential care etc funded by the local authority but the State Pension is taken into account in assessing contributions towards fees.
