Cordless Drill

My 24v FERM cordless drill is gradually dying

The batteries aren't holding charge like they used to, and I can't source any replacements.

Anyone got any recommendations for a powerful drill at not too great a cost (Ferm one was £49 from Screwfix about 5 years ago). Needs to have a 13mm keyless chuck and two batteries.

If you're in the East Midlands.

A few years back there was a shop on Hucknall Road, Nottingham (near Haydn Rd) selling catalogue returns, lots of Ferm stuff. Had a good sack trolley and 18V drill from there. Perhaps a Nottingham resident may confirm it still exists???

Things change though and it may now be flats or a pole dancing club.

Yes it's still there, never been been in. I may be a bit to tempted.

Unfortunately (for that shop) I'm in Devon, so a bit of a trek to Nottingham to buy a drill!

i got an erbauer cordless from screwfix a year ago,use it regularly it seems pretty reliable,2 batteries,charger and blow moulded case,i think it was about the £100 mark,may be cheaper now though.
