    One? Just one £10 bet?

I think your worries are very, very misplaced.

Just like those who eat only beans on toast for three months thinking they will have an easier mortgage application.

I went to see a your move EA broker today and he made me so so worried about it! he also said anything over 30% debt to income ratio will be referred and we may not get it... he knows it was a comparison against a fee free broker that is AMAZING and it was just pressure from the EA that i caved for the appointment. My fee free broker has already done an AIP with BOI that was accepted... i was so upset i was crying! he practically said pay £60 more and go to halifax... so confused and my broker is off until tuesday.

You can pay gambling sites using PayPal.

In the bank statement it just says PayPal payment.

We are remortgaging with HSBC and it has gone to offer subject to valuation. Everyone talks about how picky they are. We have no accounts with them so had to send bank statements in that was covered in gambling transactions between £10-£100 each transaction. They never even asked me about them and 2 dayd after submitting the statements i got a text saying they have gone to offer.

We also do not fit the 30% ratio you talk about. Probably 50-60%.

If you go with BOI at least you have a back up plan.
  • Just make it easy for yourself in future and deposit from a different account.

No harm done and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Can you pick and choose which accounts to show them?

Surely you can't hide a load of outgoings by simply using another account? A simple credit check would indicate any open bank accounts/credit cards.

They will only be interested in the accounts that your bills or deposit is in. I have 5 but I'm only sending them in for the 3 the money is in and one is my bills account. They don't need to see everything just be aware of any credit commitments such as OD usage.

Thanks! Doesn't seem that thorough but I won't complain.

Do lenders not request bank statements from all ?? when they credit check and see you have only provided for x will they not query this?

I rec'd my mortgage offer this week and also had a number of betting transactions on my bank statements and nothing was mentioned nor picked up by the underwriters.

Well not as far as i am aware, i dont really see why they would... its not a credit commitment unless your using an OD on it and I am providing the statements for the bank accounts i use and have my wages paid into which is what they want to see. Your credit report only shows bank accounts, not balances of them. I'd just see it as utterly pointless as its not used anyway!
