Pension COD question

Hi,

Please excuse a beginners question.

I am fast approaching 65 and have received 2 letters one from the DWP and the other from HMRC re my pension. The DWP letter has a COD of £52.33 and the HMRC letter has a COD of £32.43!

I am struggling to understand the difference can anyone help?

So is "rapidly approaching 65" before 6/4/2016"?

If not then COD isn't really relevant. If it is before then this a bit odd. DWP get the figures for GMP and COD from HMRC initially and they should agree. The figures for the GMP as known to DWP pensions and the pensions providers must align otherwise inflation roofing of the GMP by the state pension would be wrong.

You need to contact DWP and ask them. It seems unlikely that HMRC could really help.

Do you have more than one contracted out scheme? Maybe one of them only has details of one of them?

Yes its before 6/4/16.
