Mortgage Application - Save more or clear credit card?

Afternoon all,
I'm applying for my first mortgage on Tuesday. Tuesday is pay day so will allow me to save the extra I need to apply for a 95% mortgage.
I then have an extra £350 from my salary that I'd normally put into savings as well but, I'm wondering if it looks better to the mortgage company to have a bit more than 5% (for fees etc) or to have one less outgoing each month?
I do plan on saving as much as I can in the next ~12 weeks for the fees etc.
Any advice?
Thanks

You haven't said how much you owe on credit cards or other forms of unsecured lending. This may well impact the outcome of your application.0
