Daft T&C ?

Take a look at this comp posted by the amazing Lakshmi7 https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5415460

Is it me or is there some muddled thinking going on here….

The prize is a family ticket to a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory including hotel stay and the T&C say….

Prize tickets are subject to availability and are valid for a Monday to Thursday 7.30pm or Wednesday 2:30pm performance from 4th April until June 2016, excluding school and public holidays. Transport not included.

So you can’t go on a weekend…. You can’t go to the matinee without bunking off school. If you live in London – you probably don’t need a hotel stay and and if you live far enough away to use the overnight stay; you’re in a mad rush to get there and you’ll be in a mad rush the next morning to get back to school. Did they not think it through?
I need to think of something new here...

Friday night is the only standard price performance missing, the Sat mat and evening cost more.

(Even if you went to a reasonably local school you would struggle to fit in the VIP tour and dinner before the performance if you were in school on the same day)
  • I know it's not always the same for all but w/c 4th April is part of our schools Easter break, so for some it may be possible

Exactly! I'm not ungrateful, I think it's wonderful that anybody offers any prize but these Tcs and Cs really irk me! Winning a family holiday would be wonderful but both myself and my daughter would have to throw one hell of a sickie!
Why do mice have such small balls?
Because so few of them can dance.

Not all children are at school - some are younger; and some are home educated.....

Don't forget boarding schools which have longer holidays where the extra bits generally don't count as "school holidays" for most restrictions.
