Should I move this pension

A person with such a dramatically reduced life expectancy is one of the cases where a transfer out of a defined benefit scheme is likely to be the best option. You will need to discuss your life expectancy with the IFA and quite possibly have it reviewed by an actuary before an IFA would recommend the transfer for this reason.0

What post 11 says, pay for a full medical checkup. Whilst family history is definitely a strong determinant in life expectancy there may be many things you can do to ameleorate this unless there is a genetic condition bumping you all off at 60 or do and it may be more that you are predisposed to certain conditions and diet and lifestyle changes can significantly change that.
As someone else posted your best bet is most likely use the DB to preserve your DC. The inflation linking alone will make a big difference to maximising the DC left. Only if the doc advises you not to bother buying a new pair of shoes as you won't get the wear out of them should you look at cashing the DB out0 -
Thank you all for your help
Yes I will get a check up as my health has improved since I stopped working 8 months ago and may continue to do so due to lifestyle changes
Think I am going to leave the DB as is for now and review later depending on health
Actually have life insurance of £100k which ends in 15 months so will look to get accurate cost to replace this0
