Sainsbury's Fresh baking potatoes misprice

They have them on multibuy 2 for £3 normal price for 2.5kg bag, is £1.78
but system actually credits first the £1.56 and then another 56p effectively £2.12 reduction per two bags purchased and a total price of £2.48 for two 2.5kg bags.
However
Reduced in my local store to just 49p gave this result:
spuds 49p
spuds 49p
multibuy - £1.56
multibuy - 56p
A profit of £1.14 per two bags purchased, what tends to happen when items are on multibuy is they get overstocked and this results in a lot of reductions,
So the moral of the story is keep your eyes skinned in your local and time it right so Sainsbury pay you to take away their produce, this offer will only last a short time but as long as it does you can expect the ARBITRAGE to prevail.
Don't hate them screw em back!!

Bagged 4 x probiotic yogurt drink packs of 6 reduced to 30p each last night, as they were on a 2 for £4 (normally £2.99 each) promotion, I was actually paid £2.76 to take them away. Kids quite like them too - just as well, lol.
Their large hot cooked chickens reduced to £1.50 - but with a multibuy promotion as well, so got four of them for under a quid each
Happy cats and a few meals in the freezer.
Also had some Taste the Difference Rich Iced Fruit Cake with 90% reduction, £3.99 to 39p.
Good night in Sainsburys last night for me!0 -
It's always a good idea to check out what offers they have on any fresh produce ie:
Prawns often buy two for xxx
apples buy two for xxx
acocado's bogof
bread various
cakes often
any veg meat etc fresh, each time you go instore just check end/sell by date and make a point of returning on that day late to see what is reduced, you will regularly see ARB'S arising and can pick up your normal shopping for next to nothing or even free just by filling your trolley with the ARB product, make a point of keeping an eye on their offers and you will be surprised how much and how often you will be paid to take produce away!!
With Sainsbury's pay particular attention to your town centre store if you have one, they stay open later on a Sunday and you can make a substantial killing if you spot the right product, I picked up eighteen bags of these potatoes today and spoiled the kids rotten on the proceeds, the spuds went and will go to family so no waste and everyone gets something for nothing, now if that's not moneysaving I don't know what is!
When you bear in mind as Brits a massive proportion of our income is spent in supermarkets if you can make a saving on your daily shopping it can only be a good thing, but to make a profit has got to be awesome and fullfilling!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Don't forget to check for reductions in your local store on these tonight, there could be savings to be made!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

The mis-scan is not working anymore, it just takes the £0.56 off now.

Really annoying as these were actually reduced in my Sainsbury's today... but not enough to make a profit.0 -
