Looking for some webspace - ideally free :)

My service provider used to give me a bit of free webspace, but they've just notified me that they're stopping it soon.
I only need a bit, and I mainly use it to store a few images so I can link to them on sites which don't allow uploading of images and in private messages etc.
Can anyone recommend anything that's free? I'd prefer something where I could store anything, but would also appreciate any recommendations of free services that just let me store images.
Thanks

I like photobucket for free photo storage, it has options for HTML etc links for each photo. Google also store photos and documents etc as do other companies.
Weebly has free websites, or at least it used to!!

Dropbox will let you upload images and gives you 2G for free, you can dump more or less anything on there. There is also imgur for images, they generally let you link anywhere.
Weebly will do websites but I don't know what they're like for hot linking images etc.
If you are after a website how technical are you? There are some free options but they will require quite a bit of setting up and knowledge to get going.0 -

I find Dropbox really easy to use. Just drop a file in a public folder, right-click and you've got a public URL for the file.If you are after a website how techni4cal are you? There are some free options but they will require quite a bit of setting up and knowledge to get going.
HTML and CSS are pretty straightforward. If you just need static text and images, it should be pretty easy to whack up something quick-and-dirty in no time. A professional-looking site, or one with interactive features, back-end databases, etc. will be a lot more work.
There are tutorials and references for HTML, CSS, etc. here:

I was trying to remember the name of the free web host I came across recently. I've no idea if they're any good, but here's a link:

The snag.gy addin for Chrome and Firefox is a great quick way to clip an image in Windows snipping tool and practically in a mouse click, upload it to snag.gy's free hosted space, you get a link back. Any image unviewed for 6 months gets auto deleted. No need for a user account. I use it for e.g. posting things I want to give away in Freecycle, or to show someone a detail on an item for sale on eBay via messaging.0

I tried 000webhost.com so thank you esuhl
It was a bit painful though. The file manager seemed very buggy. In the end I had to upload my files by ftp. Then I tried to send a link to my site to a friend on Facebook, and Facebook blocked the link! They think 000webhost.com is an unsafe site, apparently. So I got there in the end, and for free, but it wasn't as easy as it might have been.0
