What happens when you speak to the OR?

I was really nervous about this, but it was actually very straightforward.
Basically, the OR just went through every page of the application with me, concentrating on the expenditure and creditor sections. They were getting an accurate idea of when the debts were run up, rather than what the money was spent on.
Then they talked about the possibility of having to make payments, even though I was unlikely to have to because of my low income.
It was over and done with in half an hour, and that was it. I was told I was unlikely to hear from them again until I was discharged which may well be early as my case is quite straightforward.
Hope that helps - this is the bit I was most worried about, and I really didn't need to be.

I can't wait to get this over and done with to be honest. I'd borrowed £2,000 to pay my credit card bills earlier this year and when I got my bonus I drew out that money in cash to give to my family, then this month I gave my partner £1000 so when we do manage to get housed we have money to buy cooker, fridge, washing machine etc etc. Plus I've been buying loads of clothes for me and my baby (I can't fit into my old clothes yet as I'm still trying to lose my baby weight) and toys for him, the OR is going to have a heart attack. But I'm not behind on any repayments and I could have done a debt plan but didn't so I'm hoping that will help my case..... I'm going to end up in prison aren't I? Oh well, least I'll have somwhere to live when I'm made homeless.

Of course you're not going to end up in prison! You haven't been committing fraud! You need clothes and so does your baby, otherwise you'd get arrested
. They honestly didn't even ask me what my money had been spent on, just when I ran the debt up. They may ask you what kind of thing it went on (With me it was all living costs mostly) - just be honest with them, and try not to worry. 0
