ACV with the mother web any good?

Hi all
I buy Apple Cyder Vinegar and use it on my hair, as a tonic etc. However i've recently been reading about ACV that is unpasturized ie has the mother web in it.
I thought about getting some as a lot of sites say its even healthier than standard ACV, however i've also read that it can be dangerous as e-coli etc could spread in it.
Whats peoples view - does anyone on here use the mother ACV?
I also want to give it to my dogs so it has to be safe!
