I am old fashioned enough to still starch some items, eg napkins, tablecloths, & found spray starch better than useless & powder starch very expensive. So I mix 1 tablespoon of cornflour with a little cold water, then top up to 1 pint (yes I AM old fashioned!)with boiling water & have the perfect mix. I store it in the 'fridge so that it doesn't go manky
