Downloading/using H2testW

I did some googling on how to check whether a microSD card is genuine or a fake, and H2testW seems to crop up as a recommended and free way to do this. Please could anyone give me guidance on:

(a) the best site from which I could safely download H2testW
and
(b) what exactly I need to unite SD card and Apple desktop so I can run H2testW. My iMac has USB ports but no CD or SD slot, so I presume I need some sort of adapter, but not sure what to buy (i.e. is 'cheap' automatically 'bad'?).

Many thanks.

    H2testW is windows only.

SPspeed is the MAC version i think?

if you have a USB port then get a USB reader and plug the SD card into that.

You dont need H2test or SPspeed. Simply get some large files and FILL the SD card fully then read back your files. If they are corrupt then its fake.

Or just save the hassle and only buy from reputable sources.
