Pay day

I get paid on the 12th of the month. If this falls on a non-working day I get paid on the next working day. Does anyone know if my employer can legally do this and pay me later than the specified date?

Other employees in different positions get paid on different dates to me (Support Workers - 12th, Healthcare Assistants - 26th, Project Managers - 20th etc) but they all get paid early if their pay day falls on a non-working day.

Really depends on your contract and what it says.

But ultimately, there is nothing you can do if they pay you on the next day.

At least if you paid in a non-working day, presumably no DD's can come out that day either ...

My direct debits come out on the 15th anyway. Its just annoying having to wait an extra 2 days to get paid. I'll have to get a copy of my contract.

Yes, check your contract - in my previous three roles I have always been paid on the working day before payday if this was on a weekend - though my last job paid on the last working day of the month anyway so moving this back could have caused issues. My current employer pays on the working day following payday if it's a weekend.
On all occasions this was specified in my contract.
