3.9.07 what small dfw thing will you do or have you done today?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

Welcome to a new week !!!!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • do piggy comps, clicks and surveys
  • start a new additional job
  • take a packed lunch to said job
  • do dinner from meal plan - spag bol
  • check online banking and update spreadsheet
  • not increase my debt in any way
  • be very positive
have a good day everyone xx

Today I made it all the way around tesco's with my four yr old in my lunch hour, in half an hour and only picked up the things on the list.
I will be writing a review on ciao and signing up to a couple of click sites.
I also didnt have breakfast - although that wasnt intentional, ran out of milk, it was me or the child.
  • Today I
    - Refrained from buying a £1.47 cardboard postage box iN Tesco and went to my local netto, where I picked up a large box for free. Will need to cut it to size, but saves the dosh
    - Gave my nephew £10 for his birthday, I educated him about interest and what would happen tot he money if he saved it long term.
    - refrained from buying food in tescos and used items I already had in for tea
    - used reusable nappies on baby
    - going to check online banking later and move some money from different accounts

Is the egg card £35 on quidco just for applying online, like the £8.50 mbna one?

Have been feeling very :( because have no cash at the mo but have managed to sell a book on Amazon today and currently have a phone on ebay going for a good price. Will take a few days to clear into bank but it all helps.

    * Done clicks, comps and searches
    * Contacted Quidco about a missing transaction and will do another one when some documents turn up to prove I have paid for the item
    * Did store cupboard lunch and dinner
    * Resisted buying a fizzy drink as need to save pennies for postage on above items
